Dr. Marco Amarante

Dr. Marco Amarante brings to Svelta Plastic Surgery a depth of academic training and hands-on surgical experience that is rare in any cosmetic practice. Born in Brazil and educated at the University of Sao Paulo—where he earned both his M.D. and his M.S.—Dr. Amarante carried that rigorous foundation into two research fellowships that would define the next chapter of his career: one at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and a second at the Medical College of Wisconsin. These are not honorary associations; they represent demanding academic work in surgical research at two of the most respected institutions in American medicine.

The recognition followed naturally. In 1995, Dr. Amarante received the Bernd Spiessl Research Award, acknowledging his published contributions to the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. That tradition of intellectual rigor continues to shape how he approaches every patient: not with a fixed protocol, but with a clinical assessment that treats the patient as an individual whose goals and anatomy demand a thoughtful, tailored plan.

Over more than 22 years in surgical practice, Dr. Amarante has built a reputation centered on the procedures that matter most to his patients—Brazilian Butt Lift, breast augmentation and lift, liposuction and Lipo 360, tummy tuck, and mommy makeover.
